Description

In the world of Tomarrow, there are different types of heroes. There is Justice League. There is the Batman Family. And then, there are Outsiders...

During the 'Near Apocolypse of 09', many heroes were lost in battle. Yet many of these heroes had families. Children, that would never be able to see their mothers and fathers again. Kids who would find themselves inheriting supernatural powers and abilities, but not receive the guidance to truely learn how to perfect them.

Superman, the leader and oldest active member of the JLU, offered to take the children in and care for them as his own. The children, seeing Superman as an 'ogre' for letting their parents die, refuse, instead living with one another, and in time, becoming their own family.

They are the defenders of Star City.

They are the next generation evolved.

They are the Outsiders...

-Green Arrow: Son of Oliver Queen (the original Green Arrow) and Dinah Lance-Queen (the Black Canary), Connor Queen spend most of his life in an ashram, learning the benefits of peace and understanding, while soon learning about the skills his father passed on to him. Around Connor's 30th Birthday, Superman came to him and informed Connor of his lineage (a fact that was kept hidden from him for most of his life) and offered him a spot on the team. However, before he could accept, an Outsider named Impulse approached Connor and offered him another choice. Conner helped from the Outsiders, adopted the 'Green Arrow' codename, and soon rose to the ranks of leader of the Outsiders.

-Impulse: Bart Allen, a 'cousin' to the Flash from the 30th Century, is actually the reason the Outsiders came together. Impulse first appeared before select members of the Outsiders, telling them the urgency of them forming a team (claiming that in his time, it is the Outsiders who one day evolve to something 'truly great' ) and chose to stay in the mid 21st century, fulfilling the destiny he was meant to achieve.

-Shift: One of the Deaths during 09 was Justice League member Metamorpho, who met his end when he was caught in a massive blast with the death of Captain Atom. However, what was left of Cadmus discovered a small piece of Metamorpho, and alongside something called ' Project: Batman Beyond', they began a new program. 'Operation: Shift'. 30 years later, an almost exact copt of Metamorpho was formed. However, Shift seems to have the mind of a 1970's teenager, seeming to adopt Rex Mason's young mind. Shift seems to find himself right at home with the Outsiders.

-Thunder: One of the little known heroes of the Justice League was a hero named Black Lightning. He never got the credit that he deserved, but he was a hero to the very end. Yet still, with his death (During the Battle of Bludhaven), Black Lightning never knew that his wife was pregnant. Growing up, Anissa Pierce heard stories about her father, but never seemed to find Superman or any member of the Justice League acknowledge Blak Lightning. This angered Anissa. So, when she discovered that she possessed density manipulation powers, she chose to put on a blonde wig, call herself Thunder, and become her own hero aside from the Leage. When Impulse approached her to join the team, she immediatly said yes without a moment of hesitation.

-The Ravager: Not only heroes died during the Battle of Bludhaven. Villians died as well. Slade Wilson, Deathstroke the Terminator, died at the hands of the hero known as 'The Question', but Slade died with a little girl back at home. Rose Wilson began to be obsessed with the Justice League, wanting nothing mroe then to destory the team that killed her father. Luckily, Bart Allen saved Rose's life. He offered her another choice. A choice to fight for good. With alot of help from Impulse, Rose became the Ravager and joined the Outsiders. However, Rose still needs a little bit of help getting the hang of this 'justice' thing...

-GeoForce: Little is known about the man who can manipulate the very Earth itself. Surprisingly, GeoForce is the only outsider to actually find Impulse, telling him that he wants to join the team because 'its what his sister would have wanted'. Nevertheless, GeoForce is a rather serious, but also very skilled member of the team.

-Jade: Daughter of the Green Lantern who replaced John Stewart in the Justice League, Kyle Rayer, Jenny Rayner's birth seemed to have been manipulated by Kyle's power ring, staining her eyes, hair, and skin various shades of green. As Jenny got older, she learned that the birthmark upon her hand actually acts as a Green Lantern ring, creating and manipulating objects out of light. Finding the JLU to 'not be her style', Jenny adopted the name 'Jade' and joined the Outsiders.

-Steel: No one blames Superman more for what happened in the 'Battle For Bludhaven' then Natasha Irons. Now well into her 70s, Natasha still keeps in shape, donning the armor her uncle John once wore and became the new Steel. Now, she acts as the 'grandmother' of the Outsiders, offering advice and tips to her younger teammates.

-The Creeper: Jack Ryder is the same exact person he was decades ago: bouncing around and crazy as hell. However, as he calls himself 'the Outsider's advisor' and happily teams up with the Outsiders to fight crime, really...he's just with the team to hang out.

Nine heroes, united by their common goal to become the next generation of champions, the Outsiders look to defend justice and make the League look like chumps. However, the Outsiders are looking to add a tenth member to their team.

A man named Batman...
