"Steel and the Metal Men"
John Henry Irons and Will Magnus were best friends growing up. They met in their freshman year of High School, and despite having different lifestyles, their passion for sciences and robotics helped them click immediatly.
As adults, they found themselves both working for LexCorp as part of their weapons and robotics design devision, leading them to make breakthroughs in technology that could never have been imagined before. While Magnus was working on a design to create synthezoids out of basic metal, Irons designed a series of high-tech armors that could compete with the newest branch of metahumans.
Then, an accident occured. Unbeknownst to his co-workers, lower level scientists T.O. Morrow caused a lab explosion, leading to John Henry Irons being caught under a pile of rubble while trying to save his friend, Magnus. Irons' body was crushed, but as he lay dying, Magnus did the impossible: Magnus downloaded Irons' being into a computer program he was planning on using for his latest experiment. Codenamed: Metal Men.
Irons awoke in a body made of a steel induced titanium alloy, able to have full control of the body as if it was a part of his own entity. Quickly, Irons noticed that he wasn't alone, as Magnus created an entire team of robots, all adapting the personality from the metal they were forged from.
Gold. Iron. Platinum. Lead. Mercury. Tin.
With his new found 'family', Irons dedicates himself to helping the world from the battlefield, picking up a hammer and giving himself a new name to go with his new life as a metal man.
